Hans-Peter Luhn becomes general partner of Erich Luhn KG. The registered seat of the company is relocated from Holdenstedt/ Uelzen to the farm in Hamerstorf/ Suderburg.
1972
Purchase of the farm in Hamerstorf/ Suderburg with own cultivation of carrots, beetroot and parsnips.
1965
The registered seat is relocated from Kiel to the Lüneburg Heath to Holdenstedt/ Uelzen. Hans-Peter Luhn joins the company as limited partner.
1963
The cultivation area for carrots is extended from the Schleswig-Holstein west coast to the Lüneburg Heath.
1960
After liquidation of "Obst- und Gemüsezentrale Kiel eGmbH", Erich Luhn founds the Erich Luhn KG in Kiel, together with Wilhelm Bauer, the grower of the carrot "Bauers Kieler Rote".
1954-1964
Erich Luhn contributes his mail-order business for vegetables to the combination of agricultural producers "Obst- und Gemüsezentrale Kiel eGmbH". Now the first carrots of the kind "Bauers Kieler Rote" are grown for baby food.
1949-1954
The merchant Erich Luhn sets up a mail-order business for vegetables by acting as buying-agent for the Northern German canning industry. He organizes cultivation, harvest and dispatch of fresh peas and bush beans.
